What to Expect...

1. What happens in the first session?

  • Therapy is just like a conversation, we ask a lot of questions, we take a lot of notes, we get to know you, identify your goals and areas we need to work on. We also welcome questions at any time, remember this therapy process is for you and we are here to help you.

  • The therapy process is guided by you. You will never be asked to do or discuss something that you are not ready for. We always take our lead from you. But, if you would like us to challenge you, we can do that also.

  • We develop a treatment plan to help you meet your goals and work through the issues you are experiencing.

2. Do you offer free counselling?

We offer a complimentary 15-minute consultation for you to discuss your needs and determine if our services are a good fit. You can book this consultation through roca.janeapp.com call us at 705-812-9929, or email us at rocacounselling@gmail.com. You may also qualify for counselling under a program such as: Victim Services, Veterans Affairs, Indigenous Affairs.

3. How do I get Matched with a Therapist: Based on your needs and preferences, we will match you or recommend a therapist who has the relevant expertise and experience. Our team specializes in a variety of therapeutic approaches and areas, including anxiety, depression, trauma, couples therapy, and more. We aim to find the best fit to help you achieve your goals.

  1. How do I book an appointment? You can easily book an appointment by visiting our roca.janeapp.com page or by calling us at 705-812-9929. You can also email us at rocacounselling@gmail.com to schedule your session.

  2. Can I cancel or reschedule my appointment? Yes, if you need to cancel or reschedule, please notify us at least 48 hours in advance to avoid any cancellation fees. You can manage your appointments on roca.janeapp.com, call or email us for assistance.

Services:

  1. What types of therapy do you offer? We offer a wide range of therapy services, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Trauma-informed therapy, Gottman relationship counselling, Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), to name a few. We use an eclectic mix based upon what you require. We also treat for anxiety reduction, depression reduction, trauma processing, couples/relationships counselling, grief & loss, and more.   2. Do you offer virtual therapy sessions? Yes, we offer virtual therapy sessions. Virtual sessions are conducted via a secure online platform - Janeapp or Psychology Today.

Payments:

1. How much do therapy sessions cost? Our 50 minute session fees are $162, but special programs vary depending on the type and length of therapy. You can find detailed pricing on roca.janeapp.com or contact us directly for more information.

2. Do you accept insurance? We are able to direct bill many insurance providers. Check our list of accepted insurance companies here.  For those we cannot direct bill, we are able to provide receipts for insurance reimbursement purposes. However, please check with your provider to ensure coverage for Registered Social Worker (MSW, RSW), Psychotherapist (CRPO), or Counsellor (CCC).
